Virus remover in your pocket

CalmWin เป็นซอฟต์แวร์ที่มีคนกล่าวถึงกันมากแล้ว ผมก็เลยหาตัวอื่นที่น่าสนใจบ้างดีกว่า แล้วก็ไปพบกับ "MULTI VIRUS CLEANER 2008" โดยบังเิอิญ จากข้อมูลของเว็บไซต์เจ้าของอ้างว่า "MULTI VIRUS CLEANER 2008" ไม่ได้เป็น anti-virus ที่สมบูรณ์แต่จะเป็นเครื่องมือที่ช่วยในการ remove ส่วนที่ติดไวรัส ออกจากเครื่องมากกว่า ซึ่งจะตรงกับความเป็น Portable Application มากกว่า ซึ่งในความเป็นจริงแล้วการใช้ Flash Drive ก็เพื่อที่จะไปทำงานกับเครื่องอื่น ๆ ที่ไม่ใช่เครื่องของเราได้ ซึ่งเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์อืนก็น่าจะมีการติดตั้ง Anti-virus อยู่แล้ว การใช้ "MULTI VIRUS CLEANER 2008" จะช่วยให้เรามั่นใจอีกชั้นหนึ่งว่าเครื่องที่เราเอา Flash Drive ไปติดตั้งขณะนั้นปลอดภัย (อย่างน้อยก็จากมือเราเอง)

ขั้นตอนการติดตั้ง
1 ดาวน์โหลดโปรแกรมจาก http://www.viruskeeper.com/us/mvc.zip แล้วแตกไฟล์ออกมา จะได้ setup.exe
2. สร้าง Folder ชื่อที่เราต้องการ สมมุติว่าชื่่อ MVC2008 บน Flash Drive หรือ SD card
3. ติดตั้งไฟล์จากข้อ 1 โดยกำหนด Destination ไปที่ Folder ที่เราสร้างไว้ใน Flash Drive รอจนเสร็จสิ้นการติดตั้ง
4. เวลาจะใช้งานก็เรียก MVC.exe ขึ้นมาใช้งาน


"CalmWin" is popular antivirus in Thailand, there are so many people in Thailand talk about it and I don't want to be another one. I found this one by chance "MULTI VIRUS CLEANER 2008" and I thik it is so interesting. "MULTI VIRUS CLEANER 2008" is a free, stand-alone utility used to detect and remove major viruses. It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to assist administrators and users when cleaning infected systems. Multi Virus Cleaner is regularly updated and can detect over 6,000 common viruses, worms, trojans and dialers (including all variants of the Sober, MyDoom and Bagle viruses). The program boasts a fast, user-friendly scanner that requires minimal processing power and is an excellent choice for repairing a compromised system.

Installation :
1. download file from http://www.viruskeeper.commvc.zip
2. create a folder on your flash drive or SD card and name it whatever you want, "MVC2008" for example.
3. extract file you downloaded on to folder in (2) you will get "setup.exe" .
4. install it as usually but you need to tell installer to install program on folder your created in (2).
5. That is. Whenever you want to use it double click on "mvc.exe" locating on your flash drive.

Screen Capture with SiteShoter

It is "SiteShoter" one of my favorite softwares. It's free and real portable. It requires no installation. You just put its executable file on your flash drive, SD Card and that's all. SiteShoter allows you to save a screenshot of any Web page into an image file (.png, .jpg, .tiff, .bmp or .gif). You can use in user interface mode, or alternatively, you can run it in command-line mode without displaying any user interface.

"SiteShoter" เป็นซอฟต์แวร์ตัวโปรดของผมตัวหนึ่ง เพราะฟรีและไม่ต้องติดตั้งอะไรเลย เพียงแต่ download มาแล้วก็เอาตัว executable ของมันมาไว้บน flash drive หรือ SD card ก็เรียบร้อยแล้ว SiteShoter จะช่วยในการ ทำ Screenshot ของเว็บเพจให้มาเป็น image file (.png, .jpg, .tiff, .bmp or .gif) ท่านสามารถใข้งานทั้งแบบ User interface mode หรือ command mode ก็ได้

Portable Web Editor

KompoZer (คอม-โพส-เซอร์) เป็น Portable html editor อีกตัวหนึ่งที่น่าจะมีติด Flash Drive ไว้ เพราะเป็น Opensource และ้น่าจะเป็นตัวที่น่าจะมาแทน NVU ในอนาคต

ตรวจสอบ IP address ของท่านด้วย FollowMeIPLite

ซอฟต์แวร์ตัวนี้เป็น Freeware ที่ผมชอบมากตัวหนึ่ง ถึงแม้ว่าจะเล็กแต่ก็มีประโยชน์มากเพราะว่ามันจะบอก IP Address ของเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ของท่านที่สามารถเชื่อมกับอินเตอร์เน็ตจริงไม่ใช่เป็น IP address ภายในองค์กร นึกภาพตอนนที่ท่านออกไปนอกสถานที่แล้วต้องทำ Conference ด้วย TOSAKUN MEETING แต่ว่าท่านไม่ทราบว่า IP Address เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ของท่านที่กำลังจะใช้งานเป็นอะไร หากไม่ทราบท่านก็ทำ Conference ไม่ได้ ตอนนี้แหละที่ FollowMeIPLite จะเป็นพระเอกขี่ม้าขาวหละ ดูตัวอย่างภาพประกอบ จะเห็นว่าซอฟต์แวร์ได้รายงานค่าของ IP Address ออกมาเป็นตัวเลขสี่กลุ่ม ท่านก็สามารถนำตัวเลขนี้แจ้งให้กับผู้ที่จะเข้ามา Conference กับท่านผ่านเว็บได้ทันที เพราะ Address ที่ได้เป็น Address ที่ต่อกับอินเตอร์เน็ตจริง หากยังไม่สามารถเชื่อมกันได้อีกด้วย Address ที่ได้มา ก็เหลือปัญหาอย่างเดียวคือการทำ Port Forwarding แล้ว
การติดตั้งก็แสนจะง่ายเพียงดาวน์โหลดมาให้ตรงกับ OS ของท่าน แล้วก็ใช้งานได้เลย ท่านสามารถนำเอาไปไว้ใน Flash Drive หรือ MMC ได้เลยอย่าง สบาย ๆๆ ....

WebVideoCap - Download Flash Videos จาก Web Page

หากท่านชอบดูวิดีโอผ่านทางเว็บที่ให้บริการ Video Share ละก็ ซอฟต์แวร์ตัวนี้เป็น Freeware ตัวที่น่ามีไว้กับ Flash Drive โดยWebVideoCap ช่วยในการ Capture วิดีโอที่เป็น Flash Video, WMV และ Video ที่ broadcast โดย RTSP จากเว็บดัง ๆ ได้แก่ YouTube, Yahoo Video, Google Video, iFilm, Putfile, และ Metacafe ซึ่ง Video จะถูกบันทึกโดยอัตโนมัติลงใน Folder ที่ท่านกำหนดไว้ใน WebVideoCap

Portable Windows XP

เนื่องจาก TOSAKUN MEETING กำลังจะออกชุดที่เป็น PORTABLE TOSAKUN SUITE ในเร็ว ๆ นี้ ก็เลยจะเริมเกริ่นเรื่องของ Portable Application อื่น ๆ ก่อน ตัวหนึงที่น่าสนใจคือตัง Microsoft Windows XP ตัว นี้คงเหมาะกับการเป็น Backup System เช่น เวลาเครืองของท่านมีปัญหาไม่สามารถ Boot ได้ เป็นต้น ท่านต้องมี Microsoft Windows XP installation CD และ Utility ชื่อ BartPE ซึ่งตัวนี้จะช่วย Compact ตัว Windows XP ลงบน Flash Drive หรือ SD Card
